(Adapted from this tumblr post.)

Hello, lovelies! Would anyone be interested in receiving random gift fics from me on AO3?

I have a truckload of projects, mostly The Raven Cycle fics involving Kavinsky in some way, that I want to write eventually, but also some DC-related stuff, and I’m a big fan of the “Gift this work to” function on AO3. I believe that having someone to gift my fics to and potentially making that someone smile because of it might actually increase my productivity a little.

So if you want to help me out here and wouldn’t mind receiving a random gift fic some day, just comment on this post. Or shoot me a PM. Or like the above-linked tumblr post. We don’t need to have spoken or be mutuals or whatever. All you need is an AO3 account. (If you don’t have but want one, I have invite codes. *nudge nudge*)

Once you’ve indicated in whatever way that you're interested, I’ll contact you to narrow down your list of likes to make sure I won’t gift you anything you’ll hate or be uncomfortable with.

Maybe I’ll add more fandoms as I go along, but I’ll keep this to TRC for now. Fandoms you could expect (example pairings are my general inclinations, but they are most likely not the only ones I’ll write):
  • The Raven Cycle (anything Kavinsky, Gansey/Ronan, etc.)

  • DCU (Harley/Joker, Harley/Scarecrow, Harley/Jason, Jay/Dick, all the Harley(-femslash) pairings)
    • Batman: Arkham video games
    • Injustice: Gods Among Us (I don’t own IJ2 yet but expect words from me next year when I do)
    • Suicide Squad (Harley/Rick, Harley/Joker)
    • Wonder Woman (all the Amazon goodness)
  • D.Gray-man (Kanda/Lavi)
  • Gintama (maybe)
  • MaddAddam trilogy (heavy leanings towards Oryx & Crake)
That’s it (for now)!

Redirecting your friends here would be appreciated and will not be counted as signing up for fic. :)

Day 1

In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

I chose to go with works I created in 2016 that I feel no one saw.

1. she truly believes the lies (Batman: Arkham Knight - Christina Bell/Harleen Quinzel, T; 2,450 words)
Ordinary People AU. Nearly a year after their breakup, Harley is forced to contact her ex Christina with a special request: to pretend to be her girlfriend once more.

Reason: I generally feel like I'm no good with details, especially of the family background variety. In this, however, I managed to create a family context and had fun doing so. Since this is an AU, you don't need to know Arkham Knight specifically. You can just imagine Christina as a female Joker.

2. digging out stumps of old resentments (Injustice: Gods Among Us - Kate Kane/Harleen Quinzel, G; 250 words)
Noir AU, Prohibition. A rather unusual woman seeks out Kate for her investigative skills.

Reason: I have a fondness for the image of Harley as femme fatale in this.

3. Hidden here below the fracture (The Raven Cycle - Joseph Kavinsky/Ronan Lynch, Joseph Kavinsky/Prokopenko, M; 3278 words)
Artist AU. The one in which K tries to banish Lynch from his head. Through art. And fails.

Reason: Here I feel no one read this because (it's tagged Rovinsky... but Ronan doesn't even show up and it's one-sided attraction!) my summary sounds too cracky, which this thing is really, really not. It's a bit more moody and frustrated, because K has an art block. I'm just really fond of creative geniuses going ballistics because the one thing they feel defines them is not working for them anymore, and them not acknowledging the real reason they're frustrated.

Another late post, because I didn't want to share the second AK fic before I'd revamped it. In recent months, I've given up on that though.
